Mill 2 and its operators are booked for Tuesday. The castings are due before the first shift. Until the receipt is confirmed, Bourne marks the order as not clear to start.

Mill 2 is booked by another order on Thursday. Running the delayed job on Friday would miss its test slot and put Monday's shipment at risk. Bourne checks alternate machines without moving the other order.

Mill 4 can save the test slot. Can it run this job?
Bourne compares Friday on Mill 2 with Thursday on Mill 4. The alternate machine protects the test slot, but engineering must clear its program and fixture. After the planner and engineer approve, Bourne updates the schedule and sends the revised dispatch list to the floor.
